Reception-only: what that means

This is a wedding reception and celebration venue — it is not licensed for civil ceremonies. Most couples hold a short legal ceremony at Hastings Register Office (15 minutes away) or their local registry, then come to The Bath House for the part everyone remembers: drinks in the courtyard, feast at the 14-seat table, bowling till late, cinema dressed for late-night screenings, and the whole house to stay in overnight.

  • From 3pm
    Check in, settle into rooms, unpack the week.
  • Evening
    Welcome drinks in the courtyard, a long first dinner around the 14-seat table, bowling lane open until late.
Saturday
  • Morning
    Slow breakfast on the sun terrace, final setup inside the great room.
  • Late morning
    Short legal ceremony at Hastings Register Office (15 minutes away) or your own registry.
  • Afternoon
    Return to The Bath House — drinks arrival in the courtyard, photographs on the terrace and West Hill.
  • Evening
    Feast at the 14-seat table, speeches, first dance in the great room, cinema dressed for late-night screenings, bowling till late.
Sunday
  • Morning
    Full breakfast in the kitchen, family brunch at the feasting table.
  • Midday
    Walks along the seafront, packing, 11am check-out for any early leavers.
  • Afternoon
    Final departures by 4pm.
