Honest about what it is

The Bath House is a writing, top-line songwriting and team off-site space. It is not a recording studio — we'd point you to our sister venue for tracking.

Getting here from London

London is straightforward. Charing Cross to Warrior Square takes about 90 minutes on the direct train — no changes, a short walk along West Hill Road to the house. Most retreats run Friday to Monday or Monday to Friday; the house opens at 3pm and closes at 11am on the final day.

Sample structures

Three shapes retreats tend to take.

3 days

3-day sprint

Arrive Friday afternoon for unpacking, a first dinner at the feasting table, and a short evening scoping session. Saturday runs as a full working day split across three blocks: deep-focus morning in the great room or cinema, shared lunch, collaborative afternoon, late-day review. Sunday morning closes the sprint with a final push and a lunch read-out before 2pm departure. Short, intense, enough time to move one specific thing forward.

5 days

5-day residential

Monday afternoon arrival and settle-in dinner. Tuesday through Thursday follow a rhythm: solo deep-work hours in the morning, shared lunch, collaborative sessions in the great room or on the sun terrace, dinner as a group. Friday holds space for a wider read-out, reflection, and the long drive or train home by lunchtime. The mid-week pattern is productive on purpose — enough space to go deep, enough structure to keep groups moving.

7 days

7-day writing block

A full week with the house to yourselves. Arrival Sunday, departure the following Sunday. Weekdays follow a long-form writing rhythm: morning solo blocks, shared lunch at the feasting table, afternoon revision or collaborative sessions, early evening dinner, optional after-dinner cinema. The weekend on either side creates travel room and decompression. Best suited to book projects, drafts with real ambition, or residencies that need to settle before they move.
